Hot Tub...
A lifestyle question. My in-laws are having a hot tub installed at their Jersey estate. I told my sister-in-law I wasn't a "hot tub guy", which I define as being a fella in his one-size too small black speedo, drinking a mojito, smoking a cigar, up to his neck in bubbling water accompanied by two hookers from Altantic City. Am I right about this?

I'm not sure how anyone cannot be a hot tub guy with that accompanying picture.

Thanks for commenting Scoot. I took some liberties with the picture. Those are definitely not A.C. hookers and I've got a couple of more miles on me than the dude pictured.

Well, let me put it this way... with pictures like that, if you're not a "hot tub guy," then perhaps you'd best learn how to be! ;)
But outside of that, that "image" is just that, a "mental image." Having a hot tub has nothing at all to do with such preconceived notions per say.
Too-small speedo, or not-too-small speedo, we're all welcome. So enjoy the soothingly bubbbled and heated water... for there are many things not so pleasant.

Sounds like an experienced "tubber". I will take your advice under serious consideration.

Ooh, hot tubs are awesome.. You'll get in, and wonder why you've never done it before. Best without the alcohol though! It can make you a bit unpleasantly dizzy.
Speedos aren't necessary. But maybe you should wear something, if it's with your inlaws. ;-)
Thanks for your invaluable input. Thanks for stopping by.

Ah, my friend, you don't know what you're missing.
Sure, the description you give may be accurate for some... but then there's people who recognize the true health benefits of a sit in the spa.
As others have said, forget the booze, this is relaxation enough. You'll feel your tensions and stress just melt off your bones.
Then, once you're all refreshed, you can get on to the drinking and A.C. hookers with renewed vigor! ;-)
Renewed vigor is what I need!

It might depend on where you live.
During a vacation a couple winters ago we stayed in the Wisconsin Dells. They had an outdoor hot tub that could be reached from the inside. It was quite enjoyable to sit in the heated water sipping a beverage while the snow fell all around.
Now we're getting somewhere! A serene winter's night, a light snow falling... perhaps a little candlelight and a chilled Pinot Noir...

I have back problems and will take any opportunity to submerge myself in bubbling hot water. Beware of drinking alcohol in the hot tub; people on heart meds or high blood pressure meds need to be careful, too.
When it is cool or cold outside, you take a soak and then you body is like a radiator, you can walk back in your bathing suit and you are not cold.
I would not want to soak with my inlaws, though.
Definite health issues associated with "inlaw tubbing".
